A major manufacturer of pH neutralization systems utilizes Vanton CGA thermoplastic OEM skid-mounted pumps in place of stainless steel pumps previously specified by the plant. The system consists of four horizontal centrifugal polypropylene OEM pumps, a custom-fabricated polypropylene (PP) treatment tank reinforced with epoxy-coated steel ribs, and CPVC pipes and fittings. The skid-mounted system rapidly neutralizes hot caustic concentrations, and handles 98 percent sulfuric acid.

Sealless, magnetically driven polypropylene OEM pumps transfer caustic solutions on demand for automated pH neutralization systems at municipal and industrial waste treatment plants. The pumps shown transfer caustic fluid from double wall storage tanks to a double wall day tank. These CGM 3 x 2 pumps transfer 55 gpm (12 m3/h) of sodium hydroxide against a 30 ft (9 m) total dynamic head. The pump casings, casing covers and impellers are injection molded of polypropylene.
